BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING

The module aims to introduce Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a thriving technology and approach that can be used in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry of different countries. BIM technology is not limited to just a single product as maybe misunderstood by some, however this module will focus on Revit as a learning platform. Students are expected to learn and apply the basic functions of Revit to have a hands-on experience on BIM.
PROJECT 1
This involves the study of the current applications of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC). This project intends to expose students to the various current applications in the AEC industries, through an in-depth review of the literatures. The findings are presented in the form of an infographic.

Individually, we are to identify one specific area and conduct a literature review based on case studies on the application of BIM which then be translated into an infographic poster. The area that I have chosen to research on is BIM in Digitall Heritage and Conservation.

Attached below is my poster.

PROJECT 2
From the previous Revit model created in Computer Applications module, students are required to prepare a complete building documentation drawings in A1 size including a detail view with a minimum of LOD 300.

Below are my work in progress.
